Accounting Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to manage our financial transactions and ensure the accuracy of our financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves handling various accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Conduct monthly and year-end closing processes.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven 3+ years ofexperienceas an Accounting Specialist or in a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Famous, Xero, etc.).
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
CPA certification or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
