Accounting Specialist

Position Overview:
We're on the lookout for an Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of accounting principles and practices, impeccable attention to detail, and a knack for thriving in fast-paced environments. As an integral member of the team, the Accounting Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions promptly and accurately.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements with precision.
Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries and financial reports.
Maintain meticulously accurate financial records and documentation.
Aid in payroll processing and associated tasks.
Prepare and file sales tax returns and other regulatory filings diligently.
Address inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial transactions promptly and professionally.
Provide support for ad-hoc projects and analysis as required.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues and streamline processes for enhanced efficiency.
Qualifications:
Preferably possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Famous, coupled with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrated strong attention to detail and unwavering accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Capability to work autonomously and effectively prioritize tasks.
Stellar communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with other pertinent accounting principles is advantageous.
