About this position
The successful candidate will join the Distribution Finance Team located in Boston. This team manages and oversees the distribution expense processes for the Company’s broker-dealer. Key responsibilities include expense account ownership, compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404 internal controls, identifying risks and controls, and conducting monthly/quarterly reconciliations.
Job Responsibilities
Support the month-end accounting process by preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports.
Analyze financial data and provide variance analysis to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with internal controls practices as per Sarbanes-Oxley, internal policy, and other applicable rules and regulations.
Provide assistance to internal and external interim and year-end audits.
Assist in special projects and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Skills/Requirements
1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Solid grasp of internal controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
experience with SAP general ledger software and Hyperion Essbase is a plus.
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills desired.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Hybrid work environment
12-month contract with the possibility of extending/converting
Pay/Salary Range:
Pay Range:
$33-$43/hour.
