Accounting Manager

Job Description
Assists with monthly, quarterly, and annual audit requirements.
Supervises accounting staff.
Reviews and approves reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow-up on any unusual items.
Oversees maintenance of systems and controls that verify the integrity of systems, processes, and data.
Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes, ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
Maintains relationships with internal and external auditors.
Reports to management on variances from the established budget and the reasons for those variances.
Ensures that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis.
Communicates key information to top executive management.
Leads and directs work of others.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs other tasks as assigned
