Job Description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for providing accounting support to our Corporate Accounting Department. In this role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the accounting operations within the finance department. This position will provide strategic guidance and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. The team will have a significant impact on the organization's financial performance and growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions of the Corporate Accounting team
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, including the review of journal entries and complex reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts such as fixed assets, leases, payroll, intercompany and accrued expenses
Review and analyze variances between actual consolidated financial results and budgeted targets, providing recommendations for improvement
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to support strategic decision-making
Ensure compliance with accounting principles (U.S. GAAP) and relevant industry regulations
Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department
Lead the preparation of financial data for audits and coordinate with external auditors
Develop and implement policies and procedures in to maintain an environment of internal control and compliance with Cornerstone accounting policies and SOX requirements
