Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounting Clerk will be responsible for supporting the setup and maintenance of financial records and accounts, running reports, and recording a wide range of transactions. They will provide administrative support to the accounting department.
Responsibilities and duties
Work according to established procedures, standards, and applicable laws.
Work with calculators, databases, adding machines and bank accounts.
Administer and assist with Accounts Receivable Processing and ReconciliationMatch invoices to work orders.
Match payments to invoices.
File and tally deposits.
Ensure that receipts for payments are received by the company, and that refunds to customers reach them.
Assist in Customer Set up and Support Documentation including Resale Certificates on file.
Assist with Sales Tax Reconciliation
Administer and assist with Accounts Payable Processing and Reconciliation.Sort and compile checks and invoices.
Input invoices, checks, vouchers, reports, account statements and other records.
Process bills for payment.
Assist in Supplier Set up and TIN Check Process
Support in Monthly and Yearly reporting including 1099.
Assist with Tax Accrual and Used Tax reporting.
Reconcile customer, supplier, and General Ledger accounts.
Investigate and restore documentation or accounting discrepancies and problems.
Provide support and assistance to department personnel.
Notify management, and compile reports on activity areas.
Support Financial Management in general ledger postings, bank deposits and statements.
Support Financial Management with general ledger and record business transactions.
Assist in the closings and preparation of monthly financial statements.
Assist in Reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts and supportive documentation.
Prepare Analysis of accounts as requested.
Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
Assist with yearend closings and coordination or preparation of the audit process.
Know and understand payroll reconciliation.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
