Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing various clerical and accounting tasks to support the finance department. This role involves data entry, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reports. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
Perform data entry to record financial transactions accurately and timely.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records.
Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
Assist in preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issues.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Handle confidential information with integrity.
Provide support for audits and other accounting projects as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively.
High school diploma or equivalent;
additional education inAccounting or Finance is a plus.
