Accountant - Hybrid

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial information. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including preparing journal entries, maintaining financial records, and generating reports that empower our management team to make informed decisions. Must have Accounting degree and 3 years of experience! We are looking for a candidate that can provide managerial accounting reports rather than a CPA focused candidate. This is a HYBRID contract to hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and GAAP-compliant journal entries.

Manage fixed asset ledgers, prepaid expenses, and depreciation schedules.

Develop and maintain corporate expense allocations.

Reconcile bank statements for multiple companies.

Implement positive pay data to safeguard against fraud.

Create and present financial statements and supporting schedules.

Analyze monthly financial statements and identify variances.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting initiatives.

Develop and recommend internal control policies and procedures.

Support financial and tax audits by preparing necessary schedules.

Gather, interpret, and summarize data to support organizational goals.

Ensure data accuracy and quality through regular checks.

Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, posting payments, and sending statements.

Handle new shareholder onboarding transactions and document them in the CRM system.

Investigate customer account inquiries and maintain shareholder tracking data.

Update expense reimbursement software and train new users.

Provide backup support to the accounts payable team.

Take on additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and accounting software. Dynamics GP experience is a plus.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to collaborate effectively and report to a manager.

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.

Dependable, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a positive attitude.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Discretion and tact when handling confidential information.

Compensation &
Benefits:

Competitive salary range:
$60,000 - $70,000 per year.

Hybrid work environment (combination of office and remote work).
