Accountant - Commercial Finance

Job Description
The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our Commercial Finance &
Accounting team in El Segundo, CA. You will play a critical role in supporting the financial management of Mattel’s largest divisions.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Perform general ledger close procedures in Oracle as part of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process. This includes the preparation of journal entries, primarily related to Toy Store, Logistics, and other areas.
Partner with Global FP&
A team to ensure they understand the drivers of specific P&
L variances during the close.
Coordinate with various business groups including U.S. Customs/Distribution Services, Global FP&
A, Sales Finance, and Supply Chain to accrue for inbound and outbound shipping expenses.
Perform detailed account reconciliations related to Toy Store, Logistics, &
others.
Leverage various systems such as Oracle, HFM, MIMICS, WebXtender, Handler, etc. to provide continuous support and smooth operation.
Support internal and external audit requests
Ensure compliance with Corporate accounting policies and Sarbanes Oxley requirements
