As a Trainee, you will be trained on the day-to-day work and responsibilities of an Account Clerk (1630), while receiving additional support.
Train on routine bookkeeping and financial record-keeping operations within complex accounting systems to ensure accurate balances and available budgeted funds.
Learn how to post, adjust, and balance entries to subsidiary ledgers.
Respond to inquiries from other units, departments, or the general public.
Organize software documents and maintain cost control records.
Learn how to use accounting software that includes databases, automated accounting systems, spreadsheets, and word processing.
Assist in reporting available budget balances and expenditures by category.
Help reconcile and summarize accounts.
Aid in correcting mathematical errors while ensuring correct balances on cost records, deposits, expenditures, allocations, taxes, penalties, and other related accounting documents.
Prepare various accounting forms and process vendor payments through data entry.
