The Parkinson’s Access Specialist (AS) acts as an alternative in-office resource that is available to address HCP questions about patient access. The AS calls directly on HCP offices in their assigned, specific geography to answer questions about patient access &
reimbursement in support of Duopa and 951. The AS provides expertise on coverage and common access and reimbursement challenges affecting Duopa and 951. The AS responsibilities include educating on the access and reimbursement support tools available from AbbVie, advising HCPs on patient prescription status and program eligibility, and educating HCP offices on payer processes and procedures.
Specific Responsibilities:
Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools and services
Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options such as specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution
Educate on resources available to address access issues
Provide local expertise regarding national/regional payor policies to educate providers on payer issues, coding changes, and appropriate claims submission processes
Liaise with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility
Report back payer trends related for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory
Remain current on key managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities
Preferred Locations:
Phoenix AZ, San Diego, CA
Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required
Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment
