The Quality Assurance Technician is an experienced QA Inspector whose primary role is to review, investigate and validate incoming raw materials, components and standards as it relates to your primary locations. The secondary role of the Quality Assurance Technician will be processing various samples for burn testing (BME, EU, 3rd party) and to fulfill customer (1st production) requirements. This person must be able to perform all the typical QA Inspector tasks as they may be called upon to assist in daily QA activities on occasion. Any production, warehouse assistance for samples/warehouse retains and sorts coordination. Covers all the jobs scope of QA Inspector &
QA Incoming Inspection Tech.
3-5 Essential Job Functions
Supports the supervisor with quality related items in a manufacturing process environment with respect to candles and home fragrance products.
Monitors and helps verify corrective and preventive actions are effective and sustainable while maintaining product quality.
Evaluate efficiency standards and measure performance to targets.
Tracks, reports, conducts root cause analysis, and supports corrective actions as defined by the supervisor to maintain and improve efficiencies.
Responsible for the BME &
EU testing process, logging samples into database, and printing testing forms and ID barcodes.
Preps samples according to customer requirements, sets up distribution to various testing facilities (internal, customer, 3rd party), and communicates the sample distribution list with various customer reps daily.
Ensures a safe work environment by communicating safety requirements, auditing, tracking, and providing feedback and corrective actions to employees and management.
Will collect data, maintain metrics, monitor trends, and report to supervision on the health and well-being of manufacturing.
Perform process, line and procedural audits while challenged with improving efficiencies of line production.
Provides additional support where needed and serve as backup coverage for senior technicians and supervisors.
Own the WIP and Quarantine stored at site location:
o maintain areas, logs, and coordinator sorts, melt, rework, and work with scheduling to purge any usable goods as fast as possible
Will be expected to be a team member of the supervisory and management staff, chairing meetings, offering opinions, supporting initiatives, and treating co-workers with mutual respect.
Ability to use various machines and practical skills.
Good communication skills to deliver valuable teamwork. (Must understand English language)
Able to follow and execute instructions.

Requirements
Range of Experience Required
1-2 years as a quality inspector or similar position in a manufacturing environment in which the individual was required to monitor and report on quality attributes of some product and/or process.
Education Level Required (minimum degree)
High school or equivalent;
Associates Degree preferred
