ROLE OVERVIEW
To transport students to and from school and other designated sites and ensure the safety of the student passengers while operating a school bus. Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the Transportation Assistant Manager alongside being accountable to the Director of Transportation. As a KIPP ENC school bus driver, you will comply with all NC School Bus Safety laws in accordance with the NC Department of Transportation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide a safe, healthy, consistent, positive, caring environment for children and staff that promotes:
A positive student culture
Happy and healthy students and parents
Establish and maintain effective working relationship with management team and co-workers
Report to work daily and on time
Complete Pre and Post Trip bus inspections daily
Drives safely and efficiently and adheres to all NC traffic lawsExercise good judgement and extreme caution while operating a school bus
Timely report all mechanical issues to the Transportation Assistant Manager or Transportation Manager
Perform periodical drills as required by state law
Attend various meetings regarding safety, first aid, and Safe Schools Training online
Accountable for student management and disciplineDiscuss Bus Expectations with student passengers
Timely complete Bus Conduct report on student(s) not meeting expectations
