Resource Innovationsis seeking a Market Engagement Consultant to join our motivated and growing team in Chicago. As a Market Engagement Consultant with Resource Innovations, you will be one part relationship-builder and one part problem-solver. The Market Engagement Consultant acts as a key contact working with our Energy Efficiency Service Providers including contractors, distributors, manufacturers, vendors, architects, engineering firms, and service providers, individually and in group settings, to build relationships and maximize participation in utility energy efficiency programs. Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct outreach, educate, and assist Trade Allies so they may effectively participate in and promote utility energy efficiency programs.
Develop, manage and strengthen relationships with Trade Allies.
Develop and execute outreach strategies to recruit new and retain current Trade Ally partners.
Deliver sales and program training presentations to provide Trade Allies with an understanding of the value of energy efficiency incentive programs.
Help Trade Allies identify qualifying projects and associated incentives.
Support Trade Ally application completion, submission, and follow up.
Respond to program inquiries.
Train and support Trade Allies to use new software programs.
Complete on-site project verifications.
Represent Resource Innovations or client(s) at industry trade shows.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Associate degree or 3 years energy efficiency or sustainability industry experience.
2 or more years of experience in a related field such as professional sales, account management, marketing, business management, customer service or project management.
A background in energy efficiency, construction, HVAC, mechanical, building controls, utility Demand Side Management (DSM), or other building-related experience is preferred.
Confidence with the ability to quickly build trusting relationships and sell concepts at all levels of an organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously and be a customer-focused problem solver.
Strong proficiency in developing and delivering formal presentations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Proficient in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. Salesforce experience preferred.
Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and a personal vehicle to visit contractor and customer sites.
Must be able to travel locally, up to approximately 40% of the time (mainly day travel).
